The Okavango’s wetland is surrounded by papyrus trees and is a beautiful backdrop to observe wildlife while navigating the crystal clear waters. The hollowed tree trunks used by the local population to navigate, will allow you to sneak through the water. Join your local guide to learn about the hippo, the crocodile, the elephant and a whole range of divine birds, such as the African osprey and the lilac-breasted roller.

The Okavango Delta has been recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO due to the unique characteristics that exist around these waters. Due to the annual floods, a large amount of flora and fauna has synchronized their lives with the delta cycles we see today, making the experience even more worthwhile.

Next to the Okavango Delta, Botswana is blessed with many other beautiful parks, such as Chobe National Park, Central Kalahari Game Reserve and Savuti National Park. In fact one of these parks - the Moremi Game Reserve - is considered to be one of the best areas to see big cats in Africa!

We will also definitely not forget to take you to the "Victoria Falls". Located just outside of Botswana, on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Victoria Falls are approximately 1.7 km wide and 108 m high. An extraordinary show you cannot miss and a very welcome additional to you itinerary!

While it's never a bad time to take a vacation in Botswana, we recommend traveling between May and October, during the dry season, when you can expect warm and sunny days and cool nights with clear and starry skies. It's the perfect weather for exchanging stories about wildlife, sunsets and new experiences around a campfire.
